Greg Gianforte

Chairman
Mr. Gianforte and his wife Susan have four children, all of whom have attended Petra Academy since 2000. Their eldest son Richard graduated in the spring of 2008 and is now attending Caltech for engineering. Greg has served on the board since 2002. When not working on Petra or spending time with his family, Greg is CEO and Founder of RightNow Technologies (http://www.rightnow.com) which is the largest commercial employer in Bozeman.

Steve Mayville

Vice-Chairman
Mr. Mayville has served on the Petra board for three years. Steve and his wife Karen have two children, Nathan and Rebecca, who have been at Petra since 2003. Like our other board members and their spouses, Steve and Karen have a great appreciation for the vision of Petra Academy and believe strongly in the mission of this school in the Gallatin Valley. Steve and Karen have worked in and around this valley for the past thirteen years. They are the owners of Mayville Landscaping.

Shannon Ungersma

Parent Representative
Shannon and Rick Ungersma have two children at Petra Academy. Tommy and Chloe both started at Petra in the first grade and are enjoying their experiences very much. Shannon joined the Petra board in January 2009. Shannon grew up on a farm in the Gallatin Valley. Upon graduation from cosmetology school, Shannon owned and operated a salon in Bozeman for nearly 18 years. Rick and Shannon deeply appreciate the excellent Classical Christian education that Petra Academy makes available to area children and are excited about the planned future growth of our school. The Ungersma's love to travel and camp as much as possible with Tommy and Chloe and their dogs, Buster and Bogee.

Laef Olson

Parent Representative
Laef and Anne Olson have four children, all enrolled in Petra's elementary. The Olsons moved to the Gallatin Valley in 2006 when Laef took a position at RightNow Technologies as Chief Information Officer. Laef has experience serving on boards of Christian ministries in the greater Chicago area and here at Yellowstone Alliance Adventures. Having been involved in the startup of Clapham School, a classical and Christian school in Wheaton, Illinois, Laef fully appreciates the benefits of the classical pedagogy and curriculum.
