Scholarships & Registration

Petra Academy is a private school and is registered as a 501(c)(3) corporation. The money needed for operating expenses comes from tuition, fundraisers and contributions.
Registration
A $400 registration fee is required for each enrollment and re-enrollment. $300 of that sum is non-refundable. The total sum is then applied to the student's account and deducted from his or her tuition.
This enables us to cover costs (especially curriculum) attendant on anticipated enrollment.
Parent Involvement
We no longer ask additional tuition fees of parents who choose to opt-out of volunteer responsibilities. But our needs have not changed: we need and welcome parental contributions to our community. Parents contribute in a large variety of roles: fundraising events, PE teachers, facility maintenance, etc.
Scholarships
Our desire is to offer a classical and Christian education to all qualified applicants, without regard to family income. To accomplish this in 2010-2011, $200,000 has been made available for scholarships, and our board has expanded maximun eligible scholarships to 60% of tuition.
